Contest organization guide

The booklet “Plurilingual Kamishibai Contest – Design and Implementation” (in English / en français / em português / in italiano / στα ελληνικα) aims to explain the project engineering for any implementation of a Plurilingual Kamishibai Contest.

This engineering booklet is based on the experience of educational actors involved in plurilingual education and organizers of plurilingual Kamishibai competitions.

The resources in this section are intended for individuals wishing to create a multilingual Kamishibai, as part of a Kamilala competition or independently.

The accompanying handbook for the participants (in English / en français / em português / in italiano / στα ελληνικα) introduces the multilingual Kamishibai, its pedagogical challenges, the steps for creating such a tool, and the integration of languages into the story. Since 2024, the handbook has been translated in German by a professional affiliated with the French Institut in Germany.

Additionally, we have developed theoretical and practical pedagogic handouts on the formative aspects of a multilingual Kamishibai creation project. These handouts are based on real experiences and testimonials coming from a variety of countries and social realities.

These handouts are a complementary tool to the handbook above, designed to guide the project supervisor through the more formative aspects, whilst drawing on direct testimonials, which will provide an even broader and more comprehensive vision of the multilingual kamishibai.

Find all the handouts in a single booklet (en français / em português / in italiano / στα ελληνικα / in English).

Handouts organisation

The handouts have a specific format, approximately one two-sided A4 sheet. As intended by their creators, they can be downloaded independently, as subject units that can be used separately but that are, of course, connected to one another.

The common thread that links them is represented by the pedagogical and intercultural interest that a Kamishibai project brings, and the fact everything present in the handouts is not designed theoretically, but rather, is based on the concrete experiences of teachers or facilitators who participated in the multilingual Kamishibai competition.

The colour given to each section is an additional reference point as it helps to guide the reader in making a choice. It is up to each individual to approach these documents according to their own requirements, desires and curiosity.
