French embassy in the USAUnited States of America
In the United States, the French Embassy, in conjunction with the Embassies of Germany and Spain, is organizing a kamishibaï competition in the states surrounding Washington D.C. (Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia).
Libraries, cultural centers, and bilingual immersion elementary, middle, and high schools that teach French as a foreign language (FLE), as well as similar institutions that teach partner languages (German and Spanish). This project follows the European Day of Languages and the promotion of multilingualism by UNESCO, which was done in partnership with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Embassies of France.

Aux Etats-Unis, l’Ambassade de France organise conjointement avec les Ambassades d’Allemagne et d’Espagne un Concours de Kamishibaï plurilingue dans les Etats autour de Washington (Delaware, Pennsylvanie, Maryland, Virginie, Virginie-Occidentale).
Ce concours est ouvert aux bibliothèques, centres culturels, écoles élémentaires, les collèges et les lycées d’immersion (bilingues) ou enseignant le français langue étrangère (FLE), ainsi que les langues partenaires (Allemand et Espagnol) dans des dispositifs similaires. Ce projet fait suite à la Journée européenne des Langues et la promotion par l’UNESCO du multilinguisme auquel s’associe le Ministère des Affaires Etrangères et les Ambassades de France à l’étranger.

Conditions of access to the competition
The competition is open to all educational structures welcoming children from 6 to 15 years old (nursery and elementary schools, cultural centers, colleges, libraries, etc.) based in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

Conditions d'accès au concours
Le concours est ouvert à toutes les structures éducatives accueillant des enfants de 6 à 15 ans (écoles maternelles et élémentaires, centres culturels, collèges, bibliothèques…) basées dans le District de Columbia, dans le Delaware, dans le Maryland, en Pennsylvanie, dans le Maryland, en Virginie et en Virginie-Occidentale. Les enfants doivent être au cœur du processus de création, sous la direction de la structure éducative.
